To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the classic In A Space Outta Sound, Nightmares On Wax mastermind George Evelyn (DJ E.A.S.E.) hands the original tapes to legendary dub producer Adrian Sherwood for a deep and immersive reimagining of one of downtempo music's defining albums.
The result is In A Space Outta Dub — a hypnotic journey through bass, echo, rhythm and atmosphere that transforms familiar tracks into entirely new creations while remaining true to the spirit of the original recordings. Drawing inspiration from the reggae, dub and sound system culture that heavily influenced In A Space Outta Sound, Sherwood takes eight tracks on a heady excursion through spacious production, rolling grooves and studio experimentation.
Following in the tradition of celebrated remix projects such as Massive Attack's No Protection and Spoon's Lucifer On The Moon, the album delivers fresh interpretations of Nightmares On Wax favourites including You Wish, reborn here as You Bliss, and Flip Ya Lid, reimagined as Flippin' Eck.
