Ghost’s sixth psalm, Skeletá, is its most unflinchingly introspective work to date. While previous albums largely chronicled or observed outward-facing subject matter, Skeletá’s lyrics capture the distinct emotional landscapes of each of its ten songs in an intimate, one-on-one fashion — at times resembling a dialogue with oneself in the mirror. The result is a singular collection of timeless, universal sentiments, all filtered through the prism of a uniquely personal point of view.
